How long does it take a goose to pip an egg?

My goose has been tapping since last night. Today after work still tapping but can now here it chirping. How long does it take a goose to hatch?

It can take a while to get through the thick shell. I would pip it myself if it doesn't by morning. Sometimes they need a little help.

How would you pip? if that's whats needed?

Take a knife or other sharp object and every so carefully put a small whole where the beak is (you can candle the egg to see what it's beak is at) I had one that passed away because it couldn't seem to get a whole started.
