Ive had a horrible experience and am having to cull my entire flock due to what i believe is coryza making its way through and every one of my chickens is sick except for my babies which were kept in the house. How long after disinfecting and sterilizing should i wait to use my coop and run again? I will take the coop apart completely to disinfect but the ground is what i worry about bc i cant really powerwash dirt and grass. It makes me sick bc we just built the run less than a week ago and my flock hasnt even really got to use it bc theyve been in quarantine since my neighbors also have chickens. Ill eventually have to put my babies out but how long does it take for the disease to die? If its bronchitis how long? I believe its coryza bc the smell but just want to be safe so this doesnt happen again. :(

The ground will need to be dry for a while - most stuff can live in moisture. Once it's dry, the virus shouldn't last more than a week or so with dry conditions.

Ok thank you! I was told i had to wait until next march which made me even more sad about this awful situation. My flock are my pets and this is truely the worst decision ive ever had to make but i dont want my neighbors chickens to become infected is why ive decided it has to be done. Also the babies ill be bringing outside soon cannot catch it :(
