how long does it take for eggs to hatch

i have a six month old pullet that went broody on me.last week.i have not seen her leave her nest to eat and drink.i have been pulling her off her nest and putting food in front of her .she will take a couple of bites and runs back to her nest.she is not drinking.so dh and i have been syringing water in her month.she will take a little.i'am worried.what should i do .

Thats what broody hens do, is she sitting on eggs? Do you want her to hatch them? If the answer is no, keep taking eggs from her or leave her alone. small bowl water in her nest will help. Give her time she will get out on her own.

i don't have a rooster.but i did get some from my dh nephew.(but only three).so we will wait and see.
