I'm not sure if I worded that right.
I was wondering how long does it take the nutrients a chicken eats to show up in the egg? For instance if your chickens free ranged for a few days in a row, how long afterwards would it take for the yolks to be more orange colored? I have heard that once a rooster mates a hen it can take a few days for her egg to be fertile and I was wondering if it's the same type of thing. If you don't understand my question just ask me to re-word it; it's kinda tricky.

Thanks!

I think I understand it... So let's take a shot! :)

Well just like humans and our digestive system, it really depends. There is no exact number. I am no expert, but I would say to just experiment! See how long it takes, and report back! :)
