how long does it take for ticks to die?

i made two more of these on sunday. isolated them because the ticks hide in them and replaced them. they just lift off easily (roosts)and if you get a scrw driver and jam it in cracks, small spots of blood come out. going to spray the whole house with a tick certified and insect spray for poultry anyway. how long does it take for them to completely die. then i would change it over when they die off.

Hey, I thought I was the only one with ticks in the chicken house. They're small ones, and this has just started in the last month or so. What are you going to spray with?

I've kind of been in denial about it, since chickens eat ticks. But I get one crawling up my arm at least every couple of days while I'm in there poop-scooping.

blech. Get a couple guineas. They're tick eating machines. Also, you can sprinkle diatomaceous earth around the coop.

How long it takes to kill them depends on what you use.

the ticks really arn't that frendly they just hide. going to spray with a registared poultry insect spray for poultry houses. got no gineas to eat them and it would be hard to get the ticks out
