How long for a ducks mating season?

I am finding such varied answers online, so i thought i would ask actual owners...

How long will a duck be in season? i have a young male runner who is really terrorising the others and wondered how long he will be doing it

I know its natural, but he is really being aggressive with some of them, chasing them round and pulling feathers out of their necks, plus we have one who has had a broken leg in the past and isn't very strong on her feet, so i am worried he will do more damage jumping on her

I didn't want to separate them but it may have to be that way, unless there are any tips to slow him down a bit?

Nothing will slow him down other than neutering. Drakes are hormonal crazies. My Runner mates his girls all year round he has 6 and isn't really rough with them at all they mainly throw themselves at him but he does like to chase down the Muscovy females and stand on them.. You could give him some time away from the girls to give them a break.

I have to separate my drake from the girls from about April-August. You can give them short visits together and when the drake stops chasing them down, you can put them all back together
