how long for guinea eggs to hatch

My guinea hen hatched one egg this morning and I just found him dead. He looked like his head had been pecked. My first question is do you think either parent killed the chick. My second one is how long should it normally be before she hatches another egg, or did our very weird weather prevent her eggs from being healthy and is she probably not going to hatch anymore.

A new hen sometimes kills their offspring. I honestly have no idea why, some do, some don't. If it persists then the hen isn/t good to keep around if you want babies of course.
