This wasn’t one of my pullets- she’s actually my largest hen, the rest are medium sized hens and she’s a buff Orpington.Whoops, I though I posted this hours ago. But here it is: Hens can pick on the younger ones. But I would try to add her back when the scab is black and dry, and no red blood is visible. If the wound was from pecking, they can sometimes scalp the whole back of the head and neck.
I put the vetricyn on her and covered it in hen healer. She wasn’t actively bleeding and it was dry and black. I put her back in the run and she went straight to the coop.
