Hello,
I have a chicken that’s had bumble foot in both feet. I’ve been soaking and wrapping with prid. One was mild and seems to have healed without needing to remove the black scab. It just faded and is now more of a brown callous so I’m leaving it unwrapped now and just spraying it with vetericin when I treat the bad one.
The bad one had a giant lump between two toes. After about 10 days of treating, the scab pulled away and it bled a like bit but the tissue underneath looked pink and healthy so I switched to vetericin, and a neosporin wrap. That’s been about 5 days now. It has a scab, but not a big black scab. More of a regular healing scab. My concern is the big lump is still there between her toes. I’m unsure if this is normal or if I need to start over. The lump is hard and I actually think it might be a little bit bigger today than it was yesterday, even though the scab isn’t worse. I’m sure the wrapping is probably irritating it so maybe that’s a factor? Any advice?
