Beautiful chick. Congratulations!! In answer to your question about dehydration, the answer is that it would be unlikely. That beautiful yolk that the chick absorbed prior to hatching will keep it alive for a few days and hopefully mom will have taught that baby about finding water and food before then.

She's/he half silkier half unknown. It's dad is a partridge silkie. She have black skin an 4 toes
