How long do we need to isolate our injured birds? It's been about 6 weeks, their wounds have gone from black scabs to brown scabs. They are growing pin feathers! Apparently the scab is itching because Lala keeps head butting the fence posts, she occasionally will make it bleed a little. Chunk has made a pretty deep dustbowl in the corner, I think she's been dusting as a way of trying to scratch at her wound, it's under her wing on the backside of her torso. We keep spraying them with Vecyterin (sp?) trying to keep things clean! On their last supervised outing in the yard they were flying pretty good, they did several laps between the house and the coop! And their appetite is definetly good!
