How long is a baby chick ok to be alone...

I set two batches of eggs; only one of the six set in the first batch hatched. I am waiting to see if the second batch will hatch. If none of the second batch hatch I am prepare to go buy friends for the little one..how long is it ok to keep the single chick alone?

There's no set time but it's best to get new chicks that are close to the same age & size of your existing chick.
