How long is normal to resume laying?

I got my 4 Buff Orpingtons a week ago and only one has started laying. Well I think it is one, I get one egg a day (starting the 4th day) in the same spot. The woman I purchased them from said it would take up to a week for them to settle in and start back. They are 10 months old.

Did I break my chickens or do I need to be more patient? lol

Chickens don't like changes of any kind. Some adapt to new things easier than others. They will start laying again, it will just take some time. Might even take a few months.
