How Long is too long for duck hatch?

I'm hatching my first duck eggs in about 16 yrs. My first hatch is 10 indian runner duck eggs (to get back in the swing of things). Eggs were overheated briefly to 118F a week ago when temp control jammed although obviously eggs didn't reach that temp internally and I was quick to fix issue. The eggs didn't start pipping until late day 28 and it's day 30 today. I have 6 eggs pipped out of 10. 1 egg mostly hatched and then I think the duckling died overnight. One egg has a duckling not progressing in past 24 hrs at all although I can see beak and duckling is quite the loud mouth- duckling even talks back to me, we've had some lovely conversations through the bator walls.

Other eggs are slowly progressing or not seeming to progress much at all- and not peeping at all either. Humidity was 65% and I upped it to 75% last night as it seemed too low.

Any advice? Do my ducklings have a chance or are they pretty much all dead and don't know it? Anything else I can do?

I had a chick that went over 48 hours after pip and couldn't hatch. I just couldn't stand it anymore, so I decided to help. I just chipped away the shell, not the membrane all the way around from where it pip started towards the air sac and all the way around the shell left in membrane and keep it moist. put back in the incubator with warm wet paper towel around and she broke out a few hours later. She is very healthy with no problems now

I stopped by the house on the way to an appointment and was very suprised. An egg that pipped 30 hr ago suddenly has movement and a duck scrambling to escape. I wonder what I'll find when I get home?

2 Ducklings hatched last night.

And 2 more hatched overnight. They are all in the bator happily pecking one another in the eyes (I turned out the room's light to discourage it) and racing through the eggs that are still trying to hatch.

So far 2 fawn/whites and 2 blue/whites? Will post photos soon!

that is so exciting! I can't wait to my duck eggs start hatching. I have Magpie and Mallard eggs in the incubator right now

Neat, what colors are you getting or do they only come in one color?

I've got 5 hatched now. 4 eggs haven't even pipped yet however when I candled them 2 days ago I saw movement in all of them. Today is day 31 of hatch. Should I wait another day before clearing out the last 4 eggs? I may candle them tonight. .
I did have to remove the 5 hatchlings from the bator early as they were trying to dismantle the bator's electrical system (hovabator)- I guess runners are tall enough to reach the wires that are tied to the ceiling of the bator.

The 5 peeps are now sitting in a small brooder happily pecking one another to see how the other will respond. Hopefully they don't eat the pine shavings and instead investigate the duck food when they feel peckish. They were already introduced to a small waterer. . hopefully they don't feel the need to try to drown themselves in the tiny thing.

How can I tell if my Pekin is going to sit, she has been laying since last year and now laying in same place everyday. She has made a nest and even covered a few of them. We usually take the eggs away every few days but since spring is here I want ducklings. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
