My Dad used to pay me a penny each to collect Japanese beetles. He would give me a tin can with gas in it, and I would get them in there. I hate those things. They like to eat roses!

thanks for showing me the traps! I never knew there was one except for what Robert wanted to make. Pie tin, soapy water and a bright light. I could see the dogs drinking that.

Those are for fleas primarily.

Aphids. that's what the beetles eat and the aphids is what's eating the the greenery. Same for you Blue

Its sounds wonderful but me on blood thinners would survive a trip from the cabin to the car!!

They are in my bathroom and nowhere except the floor to set it.

We were supposed to go to the cabin today, but it was below freezing and we have work to do outside. I told hubby, and he agreed. Then he wanted boxes unpacked. What a slave driver! I got about 5 done and my back, my chest muscle and my head were all complaining. I had a nap for a while.
I am making tacos for supper tonight.

So does what you went through!. I got cow skin for my surgery. Anything like that?

No. We just taped it up and let it heal from the inside out for me. DH has had so many gnarly procedures the worse was for a weird lesion that he had on his nostril. We thought it was going to be snip snip, stitch stitch, then home. Nope. MOHS procedure. When they were done they had carved a 1+cm hole in his nostril. You could see the inside of his nose. Then they cut a piece of cartilage out of his ear to replace the cartilage they took out of his nose, then cut a flap of skin out of his cheek and stitched the end of it into the hole they created. 10 days later he went back and they trimmed the piece of cheek to shape and used it to fill in the hole. It healed reasonably well. A bit of infection caused the cartilage to 'dimple' a bit but his nose looks pretty normal.....except the spot likes to grow a beard now. Not. Joking.

He had a huge mass removed from his scalp on the crown of his head but they were able to loosen the skin on that using the scissor procedure I explained to pull it tight. I was really expecting a skin graft on that one but nope Healed fine. It's really amazing what te human body can do and how it can heal.

Good grief, @microchick! You and your DH have run the gamut of weird and difficult medical procedures. I hope you're done now and will live happy, healthy lives from here on out!
