How long should chicks stay with their mama?

Our sweet Silkie hen is sitting on a clutch that should hatch next week and we already have people interested in the chicks. How long should the babies stay with their mama before going to their new home?

They can go to new homes the day or day after they hatch if you want them to. Hatchery chicks usually ship the day they hatch. Otherwise, it's up to you how long you want to keep them.
