How long should I give my eggs to hatch after the scheduled hatch date??

I have 12 polish top knot eggs in my incubator. Temp 100, humidity 50% days 1-17. On day 18 all were candled moving had air cell and removed from turning tray. I increased humidity to 65%. I'm half way thru day 21 and nothing is happening. I guess I'm being overly anxious as this is my first time trying to hatch. lol

im worried and anxious because its day 24 and they still haven't given me any sign of life

What happened to them? Did they hatch? Maybe after day 21

I had 2 hatch on day on day 22 with another one pipped. The third one that pipped didn't start to zip after 48 hours I assisted but the little guy didn't make it. I had 2 successful hatches out of the 12 eggs. the remainder were fully developed 3 had yolk that did not absorb fully and the others were very wet. Someone said the humidity was to high during day 1-17. My next go around I'll keep it lower. Hope your hatch is going well.

Oh right i see. My little guy is pipped a bit. But not coming out yet. Im not sure how ling it been now but im giving it some nore time to get out on its own. If its not out by tomorrow afternoon. Ill assist it. I can hear it peeping. They do say it takes time for it to start zipping.

yes it does my second one took almost 24 hrs to start zipping

we have hatched chicks for years now and never had any after day 22. Recently we have had 2 broody hens, each with 6 eggs. it has been very cold which i think is why hatching has been so delayed. 2 of the eggs exploded from bacteria (our fault for not noticing the signs), we hatched 3 on days 25/26 and it is now day 28 and we have a pipping chick. we have learnt not to give up after 25 days if the eggs look healthy.
hope this comment id helpfull to anyone who reads it

Hi All, So many success stories and hope, I'm currently day 22, 9 living chicks, 1 pipping and 15 (some shipped and a few of our farm eggs ) Not doing anything. Was curious how long I should wait, Since reading this I see anywhere from day 19-28 have produced chicks. ♡ I read all the posts, Thank you all! Same info even if it was from a few years ago! Happy Hatchin
