I have a Barneldver hen sitting on eggs. Its 23 days today. Yesterday i thought i heard a little chick chirp but i didnt hear it again. She was also sitting back and clucking softly
ill take that as a good sign Their father ( White Silkie ) doesnt have the best track record. My last two hens who got broody had no chicks at all! The last time he fathered chicks was over a year ago.
How many days should i give before i throw away the eggs? The last two ( oprington and Marans ) never clucked like she did. And i definitely nevee heard a chirp from their eggs ( although now i am doubting my own reliability haha )
