My chick that is still inside the egg started chirping last night at about 8:40 pm and its 3:40 pm now is it normal that it hasnt piped yet?
I just candeled the egg and I cant see any movment is he/she alright?

Can you stick an already hatched chick in there for chirping moral support? Sometimes it helps them get going. Or you can gently tap the egg. Gently!

And I am going to say hands off! Just don't touch the egg. Being moved around is not going to help. Just sit on your hands.

Well. If there is no pip, I would say no. But some have hatched out chicked successfully with help. But many chicks have died at the hands of a 'helper'. Sooo..... Your decision.

How are you tapping the egg if you are in lockdown? Rule #1 - do not open the incubator during lockdown

There are a lot of strong opinions on this subject. I would not help.

Good luck.
