Hello. I just lost a beautiful Welsummer (cocci was suspected). So I'm treating the rest of the flock with sulpha-nox. Does anyone know how long I have to wait to eat their eggs again after stopping treatment?

Thank you!

generally it is 10 days after the birds have been taken off the medication
I am always prone to help the chickens restore the good gut flora
as this is what they need after having medication
now the

natural probiotic recipe is is:
1 qt of dry crumbles
2 qts of milk, sweet, sour, or buttermilk or a mixture of all or some ( you can sour milk with 3 tbsp of ACV per gallon, put unused sour milk in frig till used)
1/4 cup of non flavored yoguart ( no artificial sweetmer)
mix good and feed
chicks 2 tsp full
Adults need 3 tbsp full
and what they will clean up in 20-30 minutes
then clean wet feeders and restock dry crumbles

do this once a day for a week
then once a week for life

All the while after medicating the birds use
2 tbsp per gallon of the chicken water so their gut flora wil be regulated
they should have this at least 3-5 days a week
then three days aweek after they are over coccidiosis

PS REMEMBER if feeding medicated boiled eggs to chickens it prolongs the time that you will be able to eat the eggs.
you will be feeding the medication back to the chickens
