How long should I wait to help hatch an egg

    @KingOfTheCoop02My duck is sitting on them and I think one is trying to hatch it has been trying to all day and I was wondering how long should I wait to help hatch if I even should

    I usually wait about 12-24 hours after pip.

    What is pip? I am new th hatching eggs

    A pip is when it first breaks a little piece of the shell.[​IMG]

    Then the chick absorbs the yolk, this can take up to 24 hours. After all the yolk is absorbed it will zip.
