How long should I wait?

today is day 23 and most of my chicks are here.I had a few eggs with nothing going on so I opened one and it was a live chick that was not fully developed yet.I guess I killed it ! Sorry!I have not got the candling down yet so do I just wait on the last three or what?

You should wait at least 5 days after the due date. If the eggs smell toss them but if not just wait.

i give them 5 extra days unless there is no activity for a few days or i can smell them. put the one u opened back in and leave it alone it still may hatch.

Does it sound like I had incubator issues for them to take this long or is this normal? I had 12 hatch out on day 21 and are doing great.
