My question is that once the incubating egg start to shake little in 19th or 20 day , how long will it take before one see an actual pips?
anyone have any ideas?

Pipping can take place anywhere from the 19th day to the 23rd day depending on your incubating conditions. We actually have had a couple pip soon after transfering the eggs from the incubater to the hatcher on the 18th day. But for us it usually happens on the 20th or 21st day and then they will zip and hatch anywhere from the 20th day to the 24th day. After the 24th day, if they have not hatched we check for viability. A lot of the rocking and rolling you are seeing is the chick trying to get into position for hatching.
