How long to let eggs "rest"

I am not having luck with the search. This is my first time getting an egg shipment. I know I should let the eggs rest and settle before putting them in the incubator, but I can't remember how long and which end up

12-24 hours at room temp is usual... pointy end down.

Hello there!

Big end up, and just let them rest overnight, or if you get them very early, you could set them before you go to bed.

I usually let them sit 24 hours. I have heard of people letting ones with disrupted air cells sit for 48 hours though.
