how long until full sized eggs?

hi, our girls started laying almost 2 weeks ago. how long will it take until their eggs are full sized? thank you, vinnie

I was told that after their first molt they start laying bigger eggs. Dont know that for sure but just passing it along.

It can depend on the breed. My Wheaten Marans start out almost full size while my BLRW take much longer.

I have Plymouth Barr Rocks. They started laying around mid-april. the egg sizes gradually started getting bigger for the first 2 months. It's mid-july now and we are hardly ever getting small eggs now. I'd say that it takes a couple months to start consistently getting medium - xlarge eggs. Some of the hens will develop faster than others - even in the same breed.

I agree with the other posts. Depends on the birds. MY pullets eggs were pretty small for the first couple of months then started gradually getting bigger.
