How long until the laying is regular?

We got 5 eggs on Thursday (some may have been from the previous evening), 2 yesterday and so far one today. For some reason I thought it would be more each day, not less. When do they get regular?

Sorry I don't know the answer, but if it's any consolation my girls laid their first egg two weeks ago and I haven't had one since

mine took about a month to get steady eggs. along with a consistent size
