How long were you on Bev Davis waiting list?

Quote:
The only ones I have are from Greenfire Farms and they should all be from the Davis pen. I have 2 males whose combs were red and large but the third male's comb was about 2 weeks behind the other males. Now they all look pretty much the same, though two are larger than the third. All my eggs were marked the same though. I need to find homes for the 3 roos, so if anyone is interested in picking one (or three) roos up in Encino, email me!

Well I'm not having the quick response from Greenfire. I've placed and order but have not recieved a notification of when they might ship, and I emailed them directly and had no responce back. I wonder if the popularity of the BCM has just swamped him with demands?

I posted recent pix and the marans thread folk think I should wait because they might be combative hens and not roos! I hoping for hens!

If anyone wants my cockeral from my May hatch and can pick him up in Los Angeles, please send me an email. I think he's going to be beautiful, but he's starting to crow.

I had the same slow/poor experience with communication from Green Fire. They took 6 weeks to ship my chicks, three longer than they quoted. But, they want payment with order, not shipment. Also I was VERY disappointed with 3 out of 12 birds shipped. They still have minimal feathers and are less than half the size of the others. If we got a cold snap they'd freeze. They are very SAD looking birds. Make sure you request only Bev Davis lineage chicks. Hopefully you will have a better experience...

Thanks for posting New Hen. I need to get out in my coop and get you a recent picture of our roo. I sold my extra one at the monthly chicken swap - - I had no luck with the BYC auction site
