How long will an egg stay fresh in the chicken house?

I have been gone for 2 weeks on vacation. The person taking care of my chickens did not find all of the spots a chicken can hide an egg. I don't want to throw them away if I don't have to, but I don't want to crack a rotten egg in the frying pan. Is there any way I can tell if an egg is still good while it is still in the shell?

Just put it in warm water. If it floats, it is no good.
