I just got 8 Orpingtons that I bought when will they start laying again after moving them

I see you just got them and you already have an auction for hatching eggs here that folks are bidding up pretty good. How do you know you can even honor the auction winner if they are not laying yet? And with only 8, well, no more than 7 hens if you have a rooster with them, that is, and BBS Orps at that (I've had them for years), they are not the best layers in the world anyway, might be really difficult to collect enough. Maybe the auction was a bit premature?

Hopefully, they'll start cranking them out like gangbusters, but I've never had the Orps really do that, not the BBS variety. My Buffs were better layers, generally.


ETA: I realize you do not know me, but I was a moderator here on this forum for about 5 years and I sort of notice these things.

That is some more orps I have I just got not the one I am selling hatching eggs off

I got another set of hens that I already had and breeding the black roo to them and my hens are laying like crazy I get about 6 eggs a day
