How long will my duck stay on the nest?

I know ducks sit for 28 days but she's sitting on duck and chicken eggs. How long will she sit after the chicken eggs hatch? Will she mother them? What will she do with them?

And ohhhh, does she think she's scary! LOL It's my Fawn Indian Runner and she hisses like a snake, curves her neck and lowers her head. I can't really tell but I think she puffs her back feathers too.

If I don't leave, she will ease off the nest and work her way to the door. I have half a mind to run her off and take the duck eggs out, the last thing I want right now are more ducks but she's the first one who has gone broody. On the other hand, I don't mind more chickens. LOL I do have to run her off the nest to get to the eggs in the next nest, I guess she goes and gets a drink and something to eat and comes right back.

I know for sure she's been sitting for 3 days, it is possible she has been sitting a day longer, I was sick and didn't go out to gather eggs on the 4th.

It is entirely up to her. I have had ducks go broody then abandon after a few days. I have had ducks sit on duds for a couple of months. They get up at least twice a day to eat, drink, poop, stretch their legs, then back on the nest.

Well, I think what I meant to ask is if she will abandon the duck eggs after the chicken eggs hatch and will she care for "ducks" that can't swim? Thanks.

So, in a few days I will decide whether to bring in chicken eggs or duck eggs and put them in the incubator to finish off. Hopefully she will stay on whichever eggs until they hatch. She seems to be committed but I had a hen leave the nest after the 7th day. I know it was the 7th day because the eggs hatched 2 weeks later. LOL
