how long will my hen stay broody?

I have a 1yr old Jersey Giant named Waffles that has taken up residence in a nesting box for the last week. Every day I forcibly remove her just to make her go outside to eat and drink. She makes her displeasure known very vocally and runs back in as soon as I turn my back. She is still laying an egg everyday but doesn't let me get it without a good peck. I am not worried about her eating and drinking but she won't let my other hens in that box so now they are laying eggs everywhere. Instead of the 5 to 6 eggs I was getting I now only get 3 to 4.

Hens tend to go broody anywhere from a few days to a month. If you aren't wanting to hatch eggs and have babies right now, then you will have to discourage her. (See link below.)

Either begin process to properly break broodiness or leave her alone. Confining her away from nest site for a few days in a location that looks very different from nest site will break broodiness. If broodiness allowed to proceed she will come off nest daily although it appears her timing does not agree with your observation periods.

One of my bantams Honey is really broody and has spent the last few days in an upside down rabbit run, with food and water where the other bantams can see and here her. At night we place her back in the coop. This has always worked for my other broodies, however Honey seems a bit more stubborn and when introduced to the coop in the evenings goes in and attacks my younger chicks (about 3 months old). During the day she literally paces up and down the rabbit run pecking at the wire in a kind if trance and won't settle. I feel really cruel seeing her pacing back and forth and also feel sorry when she goes into the coop causing chaos in the evenings. Before all this she was a lovely friendly little egg layer. Has anyone else experienced this and if so is there light at the end of the tunnel?! Perhaps I need to keep it up for a few more days but I'm concerned about how her behaviour is effecting the rest of my girls (I have five bantams including Honey). Any tips greatly appreciated!

My Jersey Giant has now been broody for 2 months is this normal or do i need to do something she is coming out to eat and drink and will even come out for treats my other hens have adapted their laying habits around her-they just sit on top of her lol and this is even more amusing because we do have multiple nesting boxes she seems healthy and is laying regularly so just leave her alone?
