how long will the rock giants live

HAHHAHAA ok so we had an attack of some sort and we lost 5 birds and had to butcher up 3 more cause they were chewed on by whatever attacked them - we missed one in the process (pinky is her name) and she has a chewed up breast (looks awful) but that was 5 days ago and she is up and walking around eating and drinking so we kinda figured if the mrs. pulls through and makes it .....we would let her live out the rest of her life as the queen mother hen. how long do you figure that would be? lol (ok the kids named it for petes sake and are now attatched -its in quaranteen cuase I cant stand the other chickens peckn at it )

Unlikely for to live past a year. Watch them in the summer heat, they do not handle it well.

I am told that if you limit the feed and make them exercise it helps prolong their life. I kept one and he made it to about six months. He was HUGE!! One day we just found him dead. I didn't know I needed to limit his feed or make him exercise though.

well Pinky is still alive lol and back in general population unless they start to peck at her - but they seem to mostly leave her alone. yea It gets hot here in the summer we were hoping to butcher in the fall but they would be probaly about 24 weeks by then and well really they are going to start dropping before then i figure so butchering day is for sometime in mid july and then they will be 12ish weeks.
i do limit feed for them they get only a bit in the morning and a bit at night - and i make them walk for it - food is outside hanging on the far end of the run and water is inside the coop (cause its to heavy to move at night when I lock them up) so my girls get there exercise - and we are making the pen bigger this weekend right now its 12 x 10
