Do you think the egg looked like that because it's her first, or because she or aflak beat it up? We dont have any nesting boxes in there, is that something I should build for her?

Because of bacteria that can get in once the egg is cracked or broken. Most likely someone stepped on the egg it may have a thinner shell since it's a first. usually duck egg shell are very hard. We got another egg this afternoon, intact! They act way different now, spending most of their days outside the coop, even in the intense wind we've had for the last couple days. Now I just need to wait for a couple more months to get 2 more ducks and we can start hoarding dozens of eggs![]()
They really are good. and awesome for baking too.We fried up both duck eggs and had them with pancakes. They were awesome!
