When I candle them - should I be looking for something special - like movement? Sorry to seem dumb about this.

yes movement, inside should be completely dark except the air cell area. You should not be able to see any veins this late....unless you would crack the egg open. Also see how big the air cells are, if small your chicks probably drowned.
