My bator looks and smells like a war zone at the moment, haha. Cracked eggs everywhere! 3rd last chick is almost out. Can't wait for the other two to come out so I can finish up with the bator.

I can't wait for the day mine will hatch ( I have 14 days to go ) but I'm happy that at least someone's getting chicks today

I don't blame you, mine looks and smells bad enough and its only had a few hatch.
Just got number 3 chick.... number has external pip and number 5 is rocking quite hard!!!

Yay, our hatches should finish around the same time. I've got 11 chicks now with 2 to go. One has a decent sized pip hole with exposed membrane but the other one is yet to pip. I managed to be sneaky earlier and candle it (my humidity was at 80% because of the hatched chicks so opening the lid a little didn't do much) and it has internal pipped and was cheeping. Hopefully it pips and zips tonight with the other one so I can be done.

Pit14 - The 14 days will fly by and you'll be at hatch day. Then time will come to a complete stop and you'll find yourself making up jobs that need to be done just to keep yourself busy and pass the time. Whenever I ran out of things I could do I would be glued to the bator.. bored as hell and waiting.. and waiting.. and waiting... haha

One egg left but there's been no movement from him.. I think he might be dead :-(

So 12 out of 13 hatched. I opened the last one up and he'd died. Not a bad hatch rate for my first time though so I'm very happy.

Are all of your fluff butts out yet?

Congratulations, that is very good for your first hatch.
Yep the last one hatched just before I left for work. First hatch I've got 100% hatch, which is exciting.
Got another problem though, a few days ago when I was setting up the brooder I found the heat globe had blown. So I have them in a smaller tube with a normal globe, and on a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel.
Ordered another but it isn't meant to arrive before next week, which is annoying because they are quite cramped.
I will post some pictures later, if you want.
Sorry about bothering you and all my whinges.
Hope your chicks are getting on alright.
