How Loud Are Pekins??

They are not nearly as loud as I thought. When we brought them home there was at least one very loud duck so I think I have hopefully- at least one female. I need to post a thread with a pic of them as I have no idea what is what. I see no drake feathers.

I love my new ducks, they are adorable.

My pekin is the loudest duck I have. My Snowy Mallards are the Quietest.

Loud, very loud! We have 9 Pekins and 5 are female. Two of my females have the loudest quack I have ever heard. They sound like they are yelling at us when we come out to see them or feed them treats. But they are sweet and lovable and my neighbors are acres away so they will be one of the types of ducks we will keep. I

They are loud and they make a poopy smelly mess with water creating lots of flies.

Muscovy ducks are very quite and not quite as messy and they love to eat flies.

I have one female peking and one female runner and she only really makes a racket when she's hungry. Compared to the runner who wails if the other duck walks out of sight. I had them in my kitchen while the enclosure was being built (flooding garden ftw) and they never woke me up or bothered my neighbours.

Her quacks are loud but she only does it when she wants something or is upset.

The Drakes are very quiet but the females are loud. I think it is more of a funny loud than an annoying load. My neighbor has one and everytime the duck honks it sounds like it is calling out my nieghbors name FRANK Frank frank. We will see how he feels when my roo starts to crow

I had muscovy and the male would make this alfull sound almost like a trumpiting grunt.Mine were not that messy either.(they never stayed in my yard)
