How low should I cut the carton??

Im using a carton to hatch my eggs in, how low should I cut it? It is a paper carton also. No opinions on whether or not to do this, I have already made up my mind. Thanks, -Jay

I don't cut mine at all. I just cut the lid off and put the eggs in.

Can I use a plastic carton?

I've always just used the paper ones, so I don't know about the styrafoam ones.

I use the paper cartons. I cut the top off, and then poke a hole in the bottom of each section for air circulation.
