It can hold 20 liter and the diameter is 33x26 cm I thinkHow big are the bucket nests?

I don’t think my 2 other hens mind the buckets and the smallest hen once really liked it and slept in there when I first got her, she stopped laying in October and just recently started and after she started she didn’t really show any interest in it.My hens hated the bucket nests. I have nests similar to yours in the coop but none of my birds use them anymore since I installed a nesting box outside. I got a used dog house off the side of the road and took the roof off, set it up on its side and installed this inside. I put a tree stump next to it so they can hop up and that's all they use now. One of my Sussex's even tried to brood in it.

I was also thinking that or a wooden thing on itAnother possibility is foam pool noodles but I'm not sure how you would attach them or how well they would hold up. Just thinking out loud here.
Better to use wood....pool noodle or any foam would probably getting pecked at.I was also thinking that or a wooden thing on it![]()
