Scary for people using them for livestock poultry and their garden!

Yeah I won't use them for gardens. On a long run to a garden I'd use hard PVC piping with a spigot I could attach one of those potable water hoses to. I don't think PVC pipe has the lead, which is used to make the plastic flexible.

I had no idea. It turns out that we've been using a rubber hose that rated "low hazard", at least, but I will look for a drinking water safe one.

I had also posted on the other thread: If lead in a hose is a concern, also check the nozzle if you use one. I use a brass nozzle that's labeled lead free.

Should. However, I had an RV for probably 20 years and didn't know that. I just used an RV hose because of the shorter length and better taste it gave water.

Me too. It doesn't stay in the body forever. Various things chelate it out. I think cilantro is one thing that does.

I did not know about this but I did feed cilantro almost daily as a treat.

Thanks for the big heads up! We use it for the chickens,dog and our swimming pool...wonder what the repercussions of that are. We will change how we water our animals for sure.
