So we were out this afternoon and we got back just as it was getting dark. We had a little section of the run made up just for the chicks like it had been suggested. This was about day 4 or 5 I think of doing this, but when we got home tonight and we to go put everyone to bed for the night we found our standard red star on the ramp leadinging into the coop and the little bantam barred rock behind her! Then we looked in the coop and there was our bantam nankin in there with the other two standard girls (another barred rock, and a black star). We were shocked! We looked the little guys all over to make sure they hadnt gotten hurt by our big girls, and they were just fine! The babies got out somehow and went right into the coop with the girls! Hopefully this is the beginning of a new little family for them!
I am hoping that they will all be friends before the cold sets in which happens quick in here in Northern NY! Thanks for the tips about getting them together! I will have to take some pictures of them all together.
