how many broody hens you gotz? :)(chook,duck,turkey ect.)

this here post applies to all birds! yaaaay!

I'm curious as to how many broodies everyone has to kick this spring off.

currently(and this is ONLY currently) we have 4 broody hens, one is sitting on two of her eggs that SHOULD be hatching in the next few days, and some eggs due to hatch on the 8th(wich I'll be taking from her once her own eggs hatch).

and a silkie whos sitting on 6 eggs due to hatch the 8th(not hers,Standard eggs)

Stella, out blue cochin is a new momma to 7 Mallard eggs just given to her this morning, and Lily is also a new duck egg momma, 2 runner eggs, and 4 pekin eggs.

I've also got Rosilee who's been sitting for about 3-3 1/2 weeks now.

and then theres Mouse, Broody again, sitting on 6 eggs(the 7 under Stella I took from Mouses nest),and Stencil..who feels mouse must share her nest, they sorta help each other sit??

so we've got in total! 5 and 1/2 broodies! yaaaaaay!

Nine, and some of them are my good layers too, a copper black marans, a giant blue marans, a Mille Fleur cochin F2 project hen, a mottled cochin hen, two partridge cochin hens, two partridge silkies, and a silkie/marans cross.

I quoted me LOL,

make that FIVE broody hens!, so that makes,like 8 broodies.

and it's Tal whos doing the broody this time, not mouse, but she and Stencil have joint custody LMAO​
