How many chickens can i fit?

I think my coop is 8' X 16'. thinking about getting 14 hens, that should be roomy enough hey? haha.

50 or less would keep things nice and quiet in there and reduce some stress due to overcrowding and picking. I would start with that.

I have an 8' x 6' with 20 chickens. I also freerange all day. and 5 are stuburn and sleep in the barn every night so only 15 are in the coop. Please keep in mind with OE they do not stand confinement well so if you would ever have to keep they housed for any length of time a crowded coop would be a problem.
