how many chickens can i fit

how many heavy breed chickens can i fit in a 6ft long, 8 ft wide and 6 foot tall coop with a large run. the chickens will be aloud to free range while im outside

6X8= 48sq ft /4 sq ft (per bird) = 12 chickens Maximum

Will they have a run to go into when you can't supervise them?

I agree with 12 chickens max. Ideally, your run should then be 120 s.f. minimum for happy chickens. Also, if you are in a cold climate or they will spend time inside the coop, I'd have a couple less (10 at the most) to prevent boredom and picking in the winter months. Good luck!
