Well, I think chicken math is getting the best of me. We got baby chicks for the first time yesterday, yay! Was suppose to get 6 but came home with 7, but now I want 3 more! I was wondering though how many chickens my 5 by 7 foot henhouse could hold. Than in advance

IMO: Depends on your climate and how big your run is. They need a lot more coop if they will stay inside for days or weeks in the winter, and a lot less in a warm climate where they are in the run almost all their waking hours.

The guideline is 4 square feet per bird inside the coop, 10 square feet per bird in the run. The more space you can give them, the fewer problems with health and behavior. Good luck with your babies!
