That's if you have a run for them to use during their daylight hours, or if they are able to be out free ranging all day, every day. Keeping them shut in a 4 s.f./bird coop all but "the few hours they get out into the yard/day" is closer to factory farming conditions.wait... i thought it was 4sqft a bird? am i wrong?
This is not what I'd call a coop....no real shelter....more like a pen or run.
