A really nice lady from Craigslist just gave me a mixed lot of 13 (12 pullets and one straight run) - Barred Rocks, Isa Browns, Black Giants (Jersey Giants?), a Rhode Island Red, and a Polish. Around 2 weeks old. They are in the brooder warming up and settling in. It looks like they should be a really nice laying mix . . .

And she threw in half a bag of starter/grower feed and some mealworm treats. I'm hoping to be able to gift some chicks back to her next spring when her coop is all set.
