how many chicks can fit?

i'm looking at getting an old rabbit cage someone is selling tomorrow for $50. in the picture it looks pretty good and well made. my question is how many growing chicks can comfortably fit into a 6ftx2.5ftx2ft high pen? i'm looking at it being a first time outside pen before they are ready to move into the big coop, as well as a holding pen for chicks i'm selling.

also, how many full grown silkies would fit inside it, eventually... hehehehe... Shhhhh!!!!

Well...I don't like wire bottoms. But at 15 sq. ft, I'd keep up to 7 or 8 chicks once they're 5-6 weeks old or so. From about 2 weeks up to 5 or 6 weeks I'm sure you could keep 15 chicks in it. As for possible silkies, I'd say maybe 4 birds, assuming they will also have a run...
