I received my chicks (16) 6 weeks ago. My wife always told me she didn't want chickens but finally gave in after I promised her I'd keep them waay out back (we have 30 acres). Needless to say she has them all named, goes out to visit them and feed them scratch and mealworm treats multiple times each day, and won't let me butcher any of them when they are big enough. So now I'm stuck with 8 Brahma hens, 1 Brahma roo, 2 BO hens, 2 RIR hens, and 3 White Leghorn hens that a friend is supposed to be taking. I had chickens as a boy growing up but not friendly chickens like these things. They will come and get you when you go in the pen and perch on any part of you that they won't fall off; head, shoulder, lap, arms, etc,,
