How Many cocks did you get with your pullet orders? What Breed ?

Ordered 25 pullets from Ideal, breeds 5-BO, 5-SLW, 5-NHR, 5-EE, and 5 Delawares. 1-Delaware is a Roo.

25 pullets from Welp (came from Privett's New Mexico zip code), 2 Jersey Giants (1 was a roo), 5 Delawares (1 was a roo), 8 EEs (all pullets), 10 Welsummers (all pullets).

We also bought 3 Giant Blue Cochin pullet chicks (for our JG roo, he's so big) from a Welp order on Craigslist, and all three are pullets!

So, 90% is about right in our flock.

i got 12 pullets from cackle hatchery 6 cinnamon queens and 6 golden laced wyandottes and 2 of the golden laced were roosters.

I ordered 29 pullets from Ideal several months back. I got one roo! Only one so I'm definitely NOT going to complain! And the one roo that I got, I was so glad that I did get him because he was so full of personality.

Way to go Ideal!

Only sexed chicks I bought were from TSC. Bought 6 on one day, 1 turned out to be a roo. Bought 6 another day, all were pullets.

I love my rooster and I'm so glad I ended up with him. He is a great guy. 1 out of 12 ain't bad!

ordered 9 from MPC, asked for all pulelts. Lost two in all...but I think they were female. So far all the rest seem to be pullets as well.

YAY me!!!

I ordered 25 and 5, 25 hens 5 roos and that is exactly what I got from McMurray.
Unfortunatley they are pretty far beyond the breed standard so I culled the roos, and keep the hens JUST as layers.

My really great stuff has still come from private breeders and you just get lucky with unsexed lots.

I ordered 12 pullets of different breeds from Meyer Hatchery this spring...got exactly what I ordered. No roos! Very pleased.

I ordered 12 sexed chicks from Ideal in the spring. Three were DOA and of the remaining 9, one was a cockerel. Received 6 from Meyer in June and 1 was an EE cockerel. Every time I look at the EE roo I wish he was a she 'cause he's so gorgeous.
