How many Coturnix could fit in a 24" x 24" rabbit cage?

So I guess I could put the 4 hens I'm getting (hopefully) in it, untill I get the hutch set up.

I have been able to house coturnix in an outdoor rabbit hutch with each having .5 sq ft and there was no feather picking and egg production was fine

seriously? You guys pack them in that tight? do you process them mostly when they're a few weeks old or is that for adults for laying eggs?
If i gave my Cot.s 6" of space per bird they'd be miserable ......
